Civil Department

     “Civil engineering department was established in the year 2007 with initial intake 60 where current intake is 120. Department is recognized by AICTE, DTE and affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. The department has been successful in producing 450 Civil Engineers in the service of the nation. The department labs are fully equipped with latest configuration, licensed software’s and Internet facility. The department has conventional laboratories like Testing of Materials, Geotechnical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, CAD, Concrete Technology, Fluid Mechanics, Environmental Engineering etc. Department has experienced and dynamic faculty members which help the students to acquire maximum practical knowledge by high quality teaching.”

     The Department is continuously striving for excellence in engineering education and research. The Department acts as a focal point for development, growth and entrepreneurship. It gives exposure to its students, to not only the regular Engineering curriculum but also to the aspirations of today's corporate world, by inculcating a professional attitude in them.

Program outcomes :

1) Apply analytical skills to solve engineering problems.

2) Conduct experiments, analyze data, and present results.

3) Ability to design and develop civil components and processes to meet desired needs considering public health, safety, cultural, social, and environmental aspects.

4) Ability to develop sustainable solutions and understand their impact on society and environment.

5) Ability to apply knowledge of engineering and management principles to lead teams and manage projects in multidisciplinary environments.

Program educational objectives:

1) Graduates shall work in design and analysis of civil structures with strong fundamentals and methods of practical implementation.

2) Develop successful careers as civil engineers and demonstrate professional engineering competence via positions of increasing responsibility and/or assignments.

3) Participate in research and development, and other creative and innovative efforts in science, engineering, and technology, and/or pursue entrepreneurial endeavors.
